Mr. Rob Walker is a long standing principal of the firm and holds unique credentials by being both a professional engineer and a licensed landscape architect. Because of this combination, he provides a multi-faceted design approach and his solutions have as much appreciation for aesthetics as they do function. Throughout his career, Mr. Walker has personally managed some of the largest projects in the firm and has overseen projects with total construction budgets as large as $500 million. His areas of expertise include all aspects of land development with a recent emphasis on urban and mixed use design. He also has a strong resume of residential, commercial, retail and industrial type projects. Additionally, Mr. Walker has tremendous experience working with federal agencies such as GSA; NAVFAC; Smithsonian; etc. and he works closely with numerous municipalities.

Mr. Walker has a long history of serving in the local community. He is recognized as a Designated Plans Examiner (DPE) in several Northern Virginia jurisdictions, including Fairfax and Loudoun Counties; and presently serves as Vice Chairman of the Reston Planning and Zoning Committee. Mr. Walker previously chaired the Fairfax Chapter of NAIOP and he is also past chair of NAIOP’s Green Building Committee. Additionally, Mr. Walker is a former Board member for Reston Soccer and is also one of the founding Board members for Loudoun Habitat for Humanity.
