Mr. Gordon graduated from Virginia Tech with a B.S. in Civil Engineering.  While at Tech, Mr. Gordon received several awards for athletic, military, and academic achievements, to include the coveted “Monteith Award”.  His leadership skills continued to be demonstrated while an active member of the military.  Mr. Gordon served as an Airborne Ranger with the First Air Cavalry Division in Vietnam.  During his Vietnam service, he was decorated five times for heroism in ground combat and was awarded the Purple Heart for wounds received in action.  Mr. Gordon’s unit also received the prestigious “Itschner Award” as the best combat engineer unit in the U.S. Army.  That excellence in leadership continues at GORDON today.

  • Engineers and Surveyors Institute (ESI), Founding Member and President
  • United States Senate’s “Gold Medallion Award”, Presented to ESI for exceptional productivity in the State of Virginia
  • APELSLA Board, Appointed by Governors Wilder and Allen
  • Monteith Award, Presented for athletic, military, and academic achievement at Virginia Tech
  • “Itschner Award”, Presented to the best combat engineer unit in the U.S. Army
